Participants discussed how plastic trade is affecting communities and the environment, as well as the role of trade policy in tackling the crisis. Speakers highlighted discussions taking place in the Informal Dialogue on Plastics Pollution and Environmentally Sustainable Plastics Trade (IDP) and decisions on plastic waste that were taken during the 14th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
